Heal Within. Rise Together. Resist the System.
About Me
I’m Shelly, a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) and founder of Radical Uprising Collective. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology while serving in the U.S. Air Force, where I also worked as a sexual violence advocate. I later completed my Master of Social Work (MSW) at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and am now working toward full licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). This means my work is supported by supervisors with decades of clinical experience, adding depth and perspective to every session.
My background spans military service, community resource work, youth and family support, community mental health, and private practice. These experiences have given me a breadth of knowledge and a deep appreciation for the resilience people carry. I also understand what it’s like to feel out of place in systems that demand conformity or silence difference, especially for those who are neurodivergent or part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
In my practice, you won’t be shamed for your choices or reduced to a label. I believe healing is about reconnecting with your voice, finding meaning, and creating space for deeper connection, with yourself, with others, and with community.
