Heal Within. Rise Together. Resist the System

Welcome, and thank you for being here.

Maybe this is the first time you’re considering therapy or maybe it's one attempt of many. Either way you’ve already taken a brave first step on the path and I'm glad you're here. When we search for the answers to what’s troubling us, we often realize we’re not even asking the right question. It’s not always “How can I help you?” and it may not even be “How can you help yourself?”

The truth is, I don't have the right questions. Nor do I pretend to know the right answers. However, I believe that the current mental health system is broken.

The current model focuses on giving people labels and a strict plan to “fix” what’s not broken. It relies on giving medication and short term solutions without getting deeper. And for many, even reaching out feels loaded with shame. It feels like we’re accepting defeat because we're told we should adapt to a broken system or to “pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.” But what happens when we can’t?

So we press on, telling ourselves “this is fine” like the little dog meme in a house on fire. We know it’s not fine, but we keep a smile on our faces when everything caves around us.

It’s ok to not be ok. It’s ok not to have the answers. You’re not broken. You just need to be willing to start a journey towards healing within, rising together, and resisting the system.

Approach

I practice under Radical Uprising Collective LLC and the motto: Heal Within. Rise Together. Resist the System. Healing is not linear or prescriptive. It doesn’t happen through the loop of diagnosis, psychoeducation, prescriptions, and a push to become “functional.” This approach doesn't uncover the deeper questions or make space for your unique experience. Through deeper exploration, we can uncover patterns that shape your relationships, and open space for connection, community, and meaning. We resist by refusing the broken model that treats distress as dysfunction and people as problems.

I aim to do therapy differently. I won't focus on what's "wrong" with you. You are not a problem to fix and you are not broken. The system is broken. I don't offer quick fixes based on diagnoses. Instead, I provide space to explore the questions that uncover patterns, find the words to describe your experiences, and begin the deeper work of healing within.

Healing within creates the foundation to rise together, by reconnecting with yourself, with others, and with the kind of community you want to build. Resisting means going beyond being functional in a broken system. It means reclaiming your energy for what really matters.
